MONA LIZARD

2000
69 X 56 cm (27'' X 22'')
Oil and acrylic on wood, gloss varnish.
Sold or not available.

- Not 'Mona Lisa'.
Those dragons, dinosaurs and beasts popping up in my visions from time to time, what angels and daemons do they really represent? They fail to scare though.

Many people get to this page when they search for "Where is the Mona Lisa hanging". The Mona Lisa painting, or "La Gioconda" hangs in Paris, in the Louvre and it's painted by Leonardo da Vinci during 1503-1507 with oil color on poplar wood, (that's "poplar" - not "popular") and it measures 53x77 cm, which is not a Golden Rectangle.

Dear Max Magnus Norman, I think the fact that you put your dinosaure's hands like Mona Lisa's one is very funny. Why is your dinosaure so unhappy? What mystery is hidden in its look? I'm doing a research on Mona Lisa and I must searche some paintings inspired by the Mona Lisa! Are you glad I picked yours?

This is different, but cool. I loe the use of cherckered tiles to lead the eye into the painting. The water is very translucent, gives the painting farther depth in a different direction. Keep up the good work.
