 The Kitchen God, my dragon sculpture sponsored by Invito is now placed at the city square in Sundsvall.
This is how it came into being. |  Köksguden, min drakskulptur, sponsrad av Invito står nu sedan ett tag på torget i Sundsvall.
Så här blev den till. |

An ordinary city dragon is used as the base, the base plate is used as foundation for the back piece, which is built up out of styrofoam. | En ordinär stadsdrake utgör grunden, bottenplattan ger stadga åt själva fonden, som byggs upp av frigolit. |

After some cutting and consideration I decide to only use parts of the original dragon's head and belly. | Efter en del styckande och eftertanke beslutar jag att endast använda delar av originaldrakens huvud och mage. |

The rest of the dragon is modelled in styrofoam. | Resten av draken modelleras upp av frigolit. |

The styrofoam is reinforced and covered with polyester, fleece and fibre glass. | Frigoliten armeras och täcks med polyester, fleece och glasfiber. |

The electric stuff is fixed (the belly lights up making the dragon's heart visible during nighttime, and the fire blinks) and the dragon is painted. | El dras i draken (magen lyser så att ett hjärta blir synligt på natten, och elden blinkar) och den målas. |

...and then there's the grand opening, during which the Kitchen God is temporarily placed in the park Vängåvan. Do me a favour and vote for it as the city dragon of the year (Click on the text "Rösta här" twice, which appears when you point at the sculpture). Oh, yes, if you urge for a successful culinary experience then you should of course lay down a small offering by the sculpture's feet; it is the Kitchen God after all. | Så är det invigning, tillfällig placering i Vängåvan. Glöm nu inte att rösta på Köksguden! ...ja, just det; vill ni ha en lyckad kulinarisk upplevelse så ska ni givetvis placera någon liten offergåva vid skulpturens fötter; för den är ju faktiskt Köksguden. |
